Kalyan-Dombivli, located in the Thane district of Maharashtra, is one of the rapidly growing urban areas in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Governed by the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), the twin cities lie along the Ulhas River and are transforming from traditional suburbs into emerging residential and commercial hubs.
Both Kalyan and Dombivli are major railway stations on the Mumbai Suburban Railway’s Central Line, offering direct links to Mumbai CST, Thane, Kurla, Dadar, and further up to Karjat and Kasara. Kalyan is also a railway junction, connecting local trains with long-distance routes.
The cities are well-connected by roads like the Kalyan-Shilphata Road, Agra Road (NH-61), and Mumbai-Nashik Highway. This provides smooth access to Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Pune.
This Thane–Bhiwandi–Kalyan route will drastically reduce travel time and boost real estate demand.
A 30 km-long project that will ease traffic and connect various parts of the city.
Will improve connectivity to Airoli and Navi Mumbai in under 30 minutes.
A major planned corridor that will pass through Kalyan and link Mumbai’s western and eastern suburbs.
